The hotel is located right across the street from Kyoto Station and has easy access to popular tourist attractions. The rooms were small but but clean. Breakfast was simple but good enough for me. Was very satisfied with my stay for two nights and would definitely stay there again if I get to visit Kyoto again.

Two-day, one night visit to Kyoto for temples and restaurants. Took Shinkansen Tokyo-Kyoto and back. Location couldn't be better. Hotel directly opposite Kyoto Station gates for Shinkansen. Two minute walk. Arrived early morning, but check-in not until 3PM. No problem. Hotel stored bags until we came back after day and evening of temples and restaurants. Next day, breakfast in AM at hotel and stored bags again after check-out, picking them up for short walk to evening Shinkansen back to Tokyo. Kyoto Station is central for buses/trains to anywhere in Kyoto area. Could not be more convenient. NOT a tourist 'luxury" hotel but very nice. Rooms are small (mostly "business"- style) but great for 1-3 night visits for couple or single. Larger group can get adjacent rooms. Staff was wonderful. English good. Breakfast good but crowded if you're a late sleeper. As long as room size is not a problem, cost, location and staff/amenities make this a steal.

A few steps from Kyoto Station, all the staff was polite above all the lady, I do not remember her name, who welcomed us while doing check-in. The room small but comfy, the bathroom really small and the breakfast included but too asian, I would suggest to take into account that even western people come to visit Japan!

Warm and friendly check in staff had us in our rooms promptly. Rooms very clean, comfortable and warm. Big enough for 2 people considering rate and location. The hotel is an easy 2 min walk across the road from Kyoto station and all parts of the city can be easy accessed.
We took our breakfast as a "to go breakfast box" and ate on the train. More than a sufficient start to the day. Nice coffee from the machine at reception. This and our welcome drink on arrival is a lovely reward for Club Accor members.
We would definitely stay here again for the comfort, location, wonderfully friendly staff and cost that make this Ibis Styles an excellent place to stay when in Kyoto.

Room tip: Join Le Club for free and get wifi and coffee!!

I chose this hotel because of its location, which is indeed excellent. In addition to its superb location, the hotel is good. Everything needed was in the room, a comfortable bed, no noise at all, perfectly working wifi, good breakfast. The staff is very nice, helpful and welcoming. There is a big balcony on the 3rd floor where the reception is, where smoking os allowed. There is a coffee machine in the lobby (100 yen), lots of shops, cafes and take aways in the station across the road from the hotel. I'm happy with my choice.
