The Manga Museum is very good! We went there especially to get our own manga portrait, which is worth it!! Get in early or expect to be on a long waiting list.

Plus:
- Very extensive manga library; fun to read!! Note: it's in Japanese! But the drawings tell the story.
- Interesting (short) manga history exhibition
- Manga artists drawing you!
- Manga drawing workshop (not attended)
- Value for money! Costs only 800 yen (adult)

Improvement points
- Needs more manga background and history
- Drawing workshops are very busy to attend, extent this, people love learning how to draw!

I am not knowledgeable or a great fan of manga, but my husband wanted to visit this museum and I am so glad that I joined him. This is like a vast library of manga. Every one visiting this museum was sitting around reading, reading, reading. How nice for the fans of this genre to come to one place and be able to pick and choose. There are exhibits as well and there was a class going on for children to learn how to draw certain manga styles. There was also an illustrator doing portraits in either the classic or manga style, which my husband had done. This is not ancient collection of artifacts or crafts, but a resource for fans of all ages.

Went hear with my daughter and friend both big manga enthusiasts. The entrance charge was a bit high for such a small museum. I loved the history about the house being originally an elementary school. There are people showing up in gosh play costumes which seems like a big thing there is even a fitting room. I think for manga enthusiasts it is probably very interesting but for me it was an average museum and is missing a nice quiet tee and coffee house to chill and talk.

Nice to go to! Very japanese and interesting cultural insight! You can see many young people dressed up as their favorite manga figure!
