Went to this place as it was mentioned in the Lonely Planet and also was in the perfect location after wander the streets of Kyoto. My husbands LOVES sushi and the set he had here did not disappoint and he said it was some of the best he had had in years. I do not eat sushi but was treated to a large plate of vegetarian tempura and miso soup which was perfect. They have english menus and a little buzzer on the table that you press for service so it means that you are only disturbed when you want to be! You can either sit in booths or at the bar in front of the chefs. Easily recognizable by the huge window display of plastic sushi!!! Would go back for sure.
Again staff were friendly and efficient and one of the ladies was dressed in traditional japanese kimono which was nice to see.
