This is a new-style Kaiseki restaurant. We have eaten kaiseki all over Japan, and in California. The price here was quite reasonable. You must have reservations. When you arrive in Kyoto, have your concierge make a reservation for you. Eat at the bar, or it is much less fun. You want to watch the chefs. The food preparations were excellent and innovative. This is a special experience. Adventurous children would also be fine here, though you will mostly see adult couples, friend groups, or teens.
