A five-minute walk from the Kobe-Sannomiya station, this hotel is located amidst pachinko parlours, supermarkets, and lots of affordable restaurants. Both rooms and public spaces are very nicely decorated, unlike those regular business hotels that are ubiquitous in the country.
Basic western-style only breakfast consists of soup, salad, eggs, excellent quality breads and cream puffs. No meat or Japanese dishes are served.
The reception is on the fifth floor of the building, and two separate elevator rides are required to get to the rooms (unless your room is on the fifth floor). The room key is required to operate the second elevator. One interesting design of the building - rooms surround a central courtyard, but hallways are not enclosed so are technically outdoors. In winter people may need to wear jackets just to get to the vending/ice machines.
Very helpful and pleasant staff; good English is spoken at front desk.More
