Family visit with children 15 and 9 years of age, both of whom have an interest in science. You need to take the Port Liner railway from Sannomiya station to get there and back, which adds another 500 yen for each adult (round trip). Our 3 hours were nowhere near enough to visit all the halls, so do leave more time if you wish to do so. There were short English-language summaries for most of the individual exhibits/activities. We included the planetarium (ALMA radio telescopes in Chile show) in our visit, which was very good, though an audio version in English and other languages would have improved the experience. Elsewhere, plenty of hands-on activities for the younger visitors. The mechanics and energy hall was particularly good. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
