“value for money”

This is a nice hotel in good location. Just opposite to the tram stop which was 3-4 stops from the main station. The hotel staff speak English and very helpful when I asked them to disconnect adult TV in our rooms. The restaurent in the hotel was good too.
Next time I would stay there, but I would make sure the room is non-smoke as this time we couldn't change it.
Otherwise, it is value for money. An internet connection was available in the foyer. I didn't use the room internet though one was available. The rooms were small but that is the case all the hotels anyway. Just for night stays it was good

The hotel is impeccably clean, though occasionally I can detect in our room a very faint smell of cigarette smoke. For the price, the room is a good size -- not as large as a room at the Reino Hostel, but larger than a similar room at the Comfort Inn. The room is very nicely appointed and attractive. For one person, it's fine. For two, it would be cramped, but that's I think it is comparable or very slightly larger than comparable, mid-range, business hotels in Hiroshima.

There are bicycles for rent in the lobby, hot towels for free, and newspapers for sale.

A breakfast buffet is available at 1000-1200 yen. The One Coin Bakery just out the back door has a variety of breads and sandwiches available for 100 yen. And there's several coffee shops and a Dunkin Donuts nearby.

No razor in the room, though they are on sale in the lobby, along with many other oft-forgotten items. There are a couple "drugstores" and a convenience store on the same block.

Working in the hotel but outside the room -- something that is more important if there is more than one of you in the room -- is difficult. There is no wireless anywhere in the hotel. There are no good areas to just sit outside the room. There are a few chairs in the fairly busy lobby and outside the meeting rooms upstairs.

There seems always to be a fair to excellent English speaking person on the desk. The desk staff is not as "professional" as at some other places. (That may or may not be to your liking.)

Booking for a 5-day stay on Travelocity got us a cheaper rate than at the desk. 40% off the posted rates.

If you need a cheap good hotel to base yourself from whilst in Hiroshima then this is a good choice. Like most Chisun hotels or business hotels the rooms are small but this didn't bother us as we knew what to expect and weren't going to be in the room for the most part. We stayed 1 night. The hotel is conveniently on the tram line from the station, which also takes you to all the major points of attraction in the city such as the peace park. You can see Hiroshima in a day if you plan your day properly. We managed to see the peace park, museum, the castle and even get over to Miyajima before getting back to eat Okonomiyaki at okonomimura which a short walk from the hotel.

This was my first time staying at a Business Hotel in Japan. It was a pleasant experience. The staff spoke good English. The location was excellent with streetcar stop right in front of hotel and the shop and restaurant district 5 minutes away across the street. There is a convenience store (think 7 Eleven) 2 buildings away. Yes the room was small as I was warned but clean and spotless. It even had one of those stand up electric press for trousers. The room size felt like a cruise ship cabin. The hotel provided excellent value. You have to prepay on check in.

1. very good location, near the trum and minuts walk to the hiroshima museum and all.
2. big rooms comparing to other rooms in japan's hotels, clean and nice.
3. breakfast- less western and more japanies food.

Super location right next to tram. Very close to large train station.

We paid ~$85CAD/night and another $10CAD/night to upgrade to a larger room.

Rooms are small, but well equipped and have comfortable beds. I'm 6'2" and didn't have a problem sleeping in the bed with my gf.

Free internet is great! Everything we needed and more for less than $100/night is a great deal in our books! Stay here and you won't be disappointed!

I've lived in Tokyo for about 2 years and traveled Japan pretty extensively (between work & personal travel). I've stayed at a number of different Japanese chain/local hotels before finding Chisun hotels (part of Solare Hotels, a larger family of hotels in Japan). My wife & I have absolutely fallen in love with Solare brand hotels since and try to stay with them whenever possible.

Chisun hotels aren't 5-star resorts, but they are mid-level business/leisure hotels that provide OUTSTANDING VALUE & SERVICE consistently across all locations (atleast in our experience). If you stay at Chisun, expect clean rooms w/nice decor, great customer service, and a delicious breakfast buffet available at a small added cost (typically 5-800yen).

As an example, my mother & brother recently came out to visit Japan in April and we did a 8 day/7 night trip around western Japan (Kyushu, Shikoku, parts of Honshu). We stayed at Chisun in Nagasaki, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Sasebo. We stayed at other hotel chains in Beppu, Matsuyama, and Yamaguchi. My mother and brother repeatedly mentioned how much better the overall quality of stay was at Solare (Chisun) hotels versus the other hotels we stayed at. They were particularly impressed by (1) the updated decor/styling (making rooms much brighter and more pleasant), (2) the comfortable mattresses (some of the other hotels had surprisingly poor mattress quality), and (3) breakfast service (in particular, Chisun breakfast room layout and flow was more efficient than other hotels).

Add the ability to make internet reservations (great English page) and staying at Chisun has become a no-brainer for me -- or atleast one less thing I have to worry about when planning a trip.
