Do not stay here! I tried to find something a bit more budget and after one night ended up in the Sheraton, let me explain why. Reserved a double room for two and checked in at 11am and man on desk was very charming. However the hotel is trapped in 1981 and not in a good way. At first I thought this was kitch and a good base for just sleeping for two nights, but the view was of a highway and the windows had a gap under them where i could fit my finger. The room had all we needed and was an ok size for the price of Eur 85 per night but the carped had mold on it and the walls had stains on in which I could only say must have come from a very excited gentleman without giving much more away.
After a wonderful day in the city at the moving museum, park and city surrounds, retired here and didnt sleep for the highway sounds were loud to the extreem. Could hear every other room and the cigarette smoke throughout the hotel was mad.
Fell asleep early hours and at 10am reception called me to inform we have to check out. We told the room was booked for two nights, but we had to check out at 10 and return at 4pm for the next night. I left with baggage and checked into Sherriton on the other side of the station for a few quid more. I emailed booking.com and the hotel asking for a refund on the second night but with no response. I am in Japan right now and cant call Amex to cancel the transaction otherwise may not be allowed out of the country next week.
The place is a dirty hole and deeply depressing. Beware of it and stay if only no other choice and for one night. Maybe others had a better reaction then me, but seriously this is bad. Put a downer on an otherwise nice city.
