Crowne Plaza has a reputation as being a decent, reasonably priced chain, and their Hiroshima branch didn't let them down.
Opposite the tram stop (takes about 20 minutes from the main train station) and a few minutes walk from the Peace Park/museum, you couldn't really ask for a better location as a tourist in Hiroshima.
The chain is obviously very keen on maintaining standards - friendly check-in staff, comfortable and clean room (with little touches such as eye masks and a bedtime tea!) and a good array of on-site amenities. We ate at their buffet restaurant for dinner (Frutier) out of sheer exhaustion, and were happy with the variety of food and level of service. The only issue was no Wi-Fi, which was a bit strange.
Overall, a highly recommended hotel for tourists wanting somewhere convenient and comfortable to stay.
