Sheraton Hiroshima is, as you would expect, an extremely well appointed hotel. Located literally outside the Shinkansen station, it is easily accessible.
The only drawback is it is a bit outside walking distance from downtown and Peace Park area but there is no shortage of public transport options at the doorstep.
The restaurant and bar area is a little pokey and, like most hotels, more expensive than the options outside.
The station area is heaving with excellent food options - check out the many restaurants on the upper floors of many of the buildings around the station!
Sheraton is a super easy, convenient and very comfortable stay in Hiroshima.

I booked one of the dual-aspect corner rooms which offered fabulous views across Hiroshima. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, quiet and very well equipped. The king size bed was one of the most comfortable I can remember. The bathroom was spotless, with separate compartments for toilet and bath/shower, respectively. Staff were very polite and helpful throughout.

One morning all lifts were out of order for some 15 minutes. The management made PA announcements but only in Japanese so most of the (numerous) English-speaking guests had no idea what was going on.

My only gripe concerns breakfast as was noted by previous reviews. The buffet food was mediocre at best (I had MUCH better selection in a Japanese-branded hotel in Vietnam) and the waiting time was totally unacceptable. I counted 3 people clearing tables and they were woefully inefficient and disorganised. The large table I was sat at, designed to sit 12 people or so, remained empty for the longest of time while 20+ people were queuing. It would be nice if hotel management actually took on board the feedback left by its customers.

Overall still a very good rating.

I'm SPG platinum and stay at many Starwood properties. I have never before been charged to use the pool, particularly when it is listed as a property amenity. My son and I paid ¥3240 yen for 20 minutes in the hot tub. Given that I paid ¥44000 for the room, and it was a club room, this is completely inappropriate.
Additionally there was a fire alarm. Well, fire alarms happen. It is too bad they don't bother to announce the alarm in English! Many of us in the club lounge were trying to figure out what was happening, the host continually refused to say.

A great hotel with spacious rooms! If you're looking for a good hotel in Hiroshima with accessibility to stations, restaurants, etc. consider this. I don't have much to say about this place. It was overall good and one thing they could do better is the smell. The room smelled like smoke.

Rooms were comfortable although the non private bathroom might worry some. The king bed were comfortable with great pillows.
Location is good adjacent to railway and only 5 minutes downtown.
The breakfast was a bit average and plates and cutlery were at times in short supply. Certainly adequate generally if not spectacular.
Would use this again.
