I stayed here with +1 for 2 nights for sightseeing in May 2012.
-As with most Japanese hotels, the beds/pillows are stiff but this is normal - get used to it!
-Westerners will find the rooms small- BUT refer to pro
-Bathroom is capsule-style and small for Westerners
-Breakfast is optional but eating in the foyer is abit weird
-Shower head is very small (rotations required to fully shower) but this is normal in Japan
-No iron/ironing board, however there is a press machine outside by the lift.
-No free Wifi
-No coffee, just Green tea
-Patronised by businessmen- they can be found smoking in lobby and stink up the lifts
-There is no real view from this building, I was facing the station onto a multi-level car park
-Rooms are actually bigger than the average Jap hotel room!
-Breakfast is basic eg miso soup, bread rolls, coffee and Onigiri (seasoned rice ball) is sooooo good - made by small/old Jap ladies
-Close proximity to Hiroshima station
-The street is quiet considering its location
-Check out is 11am
-No noise complaints
-Convenience store across the road
-Front desk people speak enough English
-Complimentary bottles of water daily x2
There is a communal bathroom (men & women separate ofcourse) on ground floor from 5-8pm every night for those who can be naked in front of strangers.
To sum it up, this hotel is for businessmen wanting clean and basic accomodation. It' had a a very contemporary corporate feel.
I would stay there again but if I wanted something abit special, then maybe go somewhere out of the city for a view.
