We stay here for just 1 night but we have quite a commotion with our 22 mths toddler. What we can say is that the hosekeeping and reception was very helpful with our situation although we called them almost midnight. They tried to help as much ad they could and we appreciate that they can speak sufficient english too. The next morning after our daughter is back to her own self, we went to eat in the japanese restaurant for lunch on thd 22nd floor. We would especially thank the manager of the restaurant, Mr. Ohyama-san for checking on us frequently to see if our daughter is entertained. He made origami and a simple toy from his doraemon pockets. We were very touched by his attention to our daughter. Thank you! Keio should be proud to have an excellent personnel in their team. Hope to stay with them again

My family and I enjoyed our 3 nights in Sapporo. The hotel is close to the department stores and restaurants downtown. I shared the room with my two brothers, and they do have rooms with 3 beds. The hotel was busy with a few tour groups, so they have to put me and my brothers on a different floor from my parents (It's fine since we're all adults). The room furniture looks standard and dated but it's functional.

Their breakfast selection is the best. It's something I looked forward to every morning during our stay. So many options for traditional Japanese food and western food. My favorites are the grilled fish and Japanese condiments which you eat with rice. A must try is Hokkaido milk. It's so creamy!

This is the first time we stayed in this hotel when in Sapporo for the 3rd time from July 26 to 27 and in general, the hotel is good in location with good facilities, restaurants and service, though it is quite a standard expectation from a Keio Plaza Hotel (we stayed in Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo previously).

Location-wise, it is not the best but acceptable because it is about 2 blocks away from the main shopping and dining center which is near the JR Tower.

Although there were some hiccups at check-in when I requested for smoking room instead of the non-smoking room that they were informed, we were upgraded to 21/F which is also their Club Floor. The room was larger than I expected (larger than those at JR Tower) with all you need from free Wifi to basic bathroom amenities. The bathroom was still the old-fashioned Japanese-style 'plastic' bathroom with low-grade bathroom amenities but the double bed we had was very comfortable. One thing worth mentioning is that the windows are not double-glazed and thus, even though we were on the 21/F, we could hear the trains coming and going along the rail from where our room was facing.

Dinner options were good with French, Japanese, buffet, etc.

Breakfast was great in terms of varieties, tastes and qualities which is comparable to that offered at JR Tower and other top-class Hokkaido hotels.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay though short and a value-for-money accommodation option at Sapporo.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the room facing the railway as even though we were on 21/F, we could still hear the tra...

Keio Plaza is located conveniently to the Botanical Garden (1 block) and within 20 minutes walk of the major in-town attractions. Our triple had 3 beds, a real rarity, but one sink unlike@asianchef's set up. Room furnishings are reminiscent of Red Roof Inn: light oak with Formica tops, boring but functional. Bathroom is a plastic faux grey marble. Our room view is out a 4' window of the unattractive wedding chapel gazebo below.

The lobby, halls and room decor are worn in places at worst (lots of stains in the lobby) and bland/uninspiring at best (good condition in the room). It's a symphony of beige, tan and brown. Fortunately the restaurant has been redone and is a fresh breath of contemporary.

There always seems to be a staffer with fluent English, which is a necessity for most US travelers. Our room is nonsmoking, plus it has free wifi - that works. LAN still seems to be the norm here, which surprises me.

Good breakfast choices... A little shy on fresh fruit choices compared to similar large international hotels.

Room Tip: 832 and 831 are the large triples but be prepared for a poor view. Nice to have 3 large beds however...

We stayed in the triple room with two toilets which made our morning rush hassle-free. Room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the staffs were great.

Minutes away from Sapporo JR Tower shopping mall and Odori Park make it convenient for shoppers. Airport shuttle bus for 1,000 yen is another good choice if you have lots of luggage ike us. Traveling time 80 minutes compare to 35 minutes by train.

This is not a new hotel but they managed to maintain its standard with their staff's excellent service and cleanliness. The staff at least tries to speak English although they are not excellent in it. But hey, you are in Japan - that's kind of the thing that you should expect. It's a great place to stay in the city.

We stayed here in 2000 and after 13 years it was still very good. The rooms and toilets are clean
and big considering that this is Japan. Free Wi Fi is available in the room.

It is about 500 m walk to Sapporo JR station and you can get to the airport in less than an hour.
Departmental stores like Daimaru and Tokyu are within walking distance. At Sapporo Station
there are numerous shops, cafes and restaurants that you will be spoilt for choice.
It's also within walking distance to Odori Park, the Clock Tower and the former Hokkaido Governor's Building.

The room rate for a double room can be as high as US180- 200/ night if you book late but
if you are sure of your travel plans and book well in advance you get a good rate. We got
2 rooms at US$70/night.
