My parents and I stayed here on holiday in November 2012, just in time for the display of fall leaves at the adjacent park. We really enjoyed our stay. If you are visiting Sapporo around that time I definitely recommend a room with the park view. Service, room and facilities, food, and overall quality of stay is a good four star by Japanese hotel standards (maybe five star by international standards), and the price was also reasonable, so it was great value for money.
The only downside is that it is not closer to Sapporo Station.
If you are coming from the airport, instead of getting the express train, get an Airport Bus from bus stop No.14 or 22, and get off at Nakajima Koen bus stop, right beside the hotel (just 1000 yen, or $11). It’ll save you having to navigate Sapporo Station then getting a subway/tram while hauling luggage, or paying for a taxi (1200 yen, or US$13). PS. a taxi from the airport will set you back 15,000 yen (around US$166).More
