The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is good and safe. We had a Triple room. The room is extremely small and the bathroom is one of the worst I have seen! The price was great. It worked out fine for us because we didn't spend much time in the room and were only there to sleep.

Rising over the Arcade (covered shopping street) and just a block from Poletown (the main corridor of Sapporo's vast underground mall), the Sunroute New Sapporo is perfectly located.

At about $100/night, our three-bed room with a view of snow-blanketed mountains and buildings is an amazing value for Japan, particularly since the space is so comfy and packed with amenities.
We have a flat-screen TV (with puerile programs) and generally fast cable + WiFi Internet (although there are occasional connectivity issues).

In addition to body soap, shampoo and conditioner for the waist-high bathtub/shower (with piping hot water), the maid provides us with new razors, toothbrushes, hair brushes, clean glasses, tea cups, green tea and so forth each day.

The mattresses are firm, but offer just the right amount of give and a fresh bathrobe/pajama is provided for each guest daily.

Generally the room is absolutely silent, although there is rare penetration of noise from above or alongside.

The maid provides a vigorous cleaning and sheet changing, although to my astonishment, while exploring for a lost object, I discovered that the space under the beds has properly not been vacuumed in at least a year. Perhaps management could aim for a monthly, or at least quarterly, dust removal in these dark, forgotten crannies.

I am travelling with my Japanese family, who do all the communicating for me. But a few of the front desk staff know some English as does at least one maid (from the Philippines). The TV is all in Japanese (there is a "bilingual" button on the zapper that does nothing), although with content so bare, it really doesn't matter.

The surrounding area contains a vast array of shops that sell nothing I would every want to buy (overpriced clothing manufactured in China) or do (pachinko parlors), although there is a great variety of reasonably priced and often elegant old-style restaurants ($10/person) above and below ground.. There also at least three great karaoke emporiums (incredible song lists in many languages) within 100 metres.

Room Tip: If you want no-smoking, make sure to ask for it on check-in (not just upon booking). Higher rooms wi...

Booked this hotel for 11 nights at less than 800usd. We got a semi double bed, which might be small for 2 ppl to share, but given the price, i have no complaints.

Service was friendly and centrally located between Odori station and Susukino station. Based on my own experience, it is much closer to Susukino station than Odori station so if you are getting on a train down from sapporo, might as well get off at susukino.

From the airport, you can take a JR train down to sapporo for 1040yen. From there, you can choose to either switch from the JR sapporo station to sapporo namboku line down 2 stops to susukino, or walk. There is a fantastic underground link walkway which connects the JR line to the sappporo subway station all the way down to susukino, which will bring you past many small shops as well as the pole town mall. From there, make a right exit to the tanuki arcade mall and walk for about 2 blocks. You should see the hotel on your right.

The best part about the hotel is that the return airport shuttle is directly opposite the hotel. Yes, this means just 1 min of walk across the street and u can hop on the bus back to chitose airport. The hotel reception sells the bus tickets and no reservation is required. This is certainly convenient as it isnt easy to maneuver heavy luggage around the snow. Check out is at 11am but i requested for a later checkout time at 12pm and was allowed to do so.

The hotel is within walking distance to the ramen alley at susukino as well as the tv tower and former hokkaido government building. If you don't mind the walk, it takes about 15-20mins to walk from the hotel to the JR station. Also, this hotel is a 5min walk away from the nijo fish market where u can sample really the different crabs that sapporo has to offer, all fresh from the sea!

I would definitely opt to stay here again if i ever visit for the sapporo snow festival due to its excellent location near odori park and for the price i pay, this hotel is a steal.

Room Tip: twin rooms would be much more spacious if you feel cramped in small room (which so happens to be th...

Super centrally located within vicinity of many restaurants, shops and 15 min walk to the JR train station. The underground walkway links all the way to the main JR Sapporo station. Like most Japanese hotels, the rooms are pretty small in size but comfortable - the bed is super cosy and had the best night sleep.
Service was very helpful even through the translation difficulty.
A little pricy for the experience

This room rate is reasonably priced and the hotel is very centrally located within vicinity of many restaurants, shops and close to the train station. Like most Japanese hotels, the rooms are pretty small in size. There is a underground shopping mall with lots of shops and restaurants that link all the way to the main JR Sapporo station. Free wifi internet connection in the rooms.

I stayed three night in this hotel during my autumn trip to Sapporo. As Japan hotel is not cheap, but I found out that this very centrally located hotel is quite reasonable. The hotel is just 2 blocks walk from the Hakuto Airport Bus (drop off), and the pick up point for airport bus is just across the street and even you can purchase the airport bus ticket from the reception. Although this hotel did not provide complimentary breakfast, but there are a lot of small restaurant in the surrounding and even Familymart is in the lobby compound. Just at the right side of hotel is the covered street with a lot of shops. You can easily walk to the famous Susukino shopping area. There is an underground shopping starting from Susukino subway to Sapporo JR Station,it makes me very easy to go around without exposing to the cold weather and snow as the underground walkway is heated. The single is spacious enough and even they provide a sofa and a tea table inside the room which was quite unusual in the tiny room in Japan. Bed is comfy, there is a tea making kettle, but no coffee provided. The bathroom amenities is quite complete and the bathgel is from the famous brand of comestic Shisedo. Check in and check out is very efficient as you already know the efficiency of Japanese. At the lobby area they provide free extra soap in cas you don't like the bathgel. There are chinese restaurant and Italian bistro inside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for family and those you like to walk around the shopping area.

Room Tip: If you like a quite room, just choose the room at the corner and ask for the room facing the back str...

I stayed at this hotel with my parents back in Feb 2012 during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Location wise it is quite a walk to the main station, but its a small problem as people from hot places like me do not mind walking in the cold frigid snow.

There is a small yakitori restaurant near the restaurant and the tantalising smell everytime we walk pass it tempts you to enter, which we did.

As it was snowing, the morning view from the hotel was fabulous.

Rooms -

Really standard stuffs, toilet was interesting though. It seemed like it was made to be easy to clean and maintain but one thing that really stood out which my mum absolutely loved

The provided lotion and soaps were made by Shiseido!

***

Location -

Located near a shopping strip, one can get many souvenirs and fill up on ramen pretty easily. Also just a 5 minute walk away is a 24hr convenience store, so satisfying though late night hunger pangs are no issue :)

I will consider going back again when i return to Sapporo! :)
