Great for food hopping. Expect to wait during rush hours to get into the good food joints.
Otherwise buzzing with clubs and joints doing brisk business
Interesting if you are out with a group looking to party till late!

A great place for nightlife. Lots and lots of restaurants and bars. Japanese lounges and karaoke shops. This area is alive till the early morning hours. Walking distance to pretty much anything you are looking for or a very short taxi ride back to JR Sapporo station.
I love Susukino! So many places to dine & lounge! Convenient to all sorts of shopping you may be able to think of. If you are there in the 1st week of February the Snow Festival is a must! I think the Japanese have access/ground transportation down to a science! There is still room for improvement but they are almost perfect!
Susukino is an entertainment area, very popular, not Times Square, but feeling like it. Also on the fringes of the red light district. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and coffee shops. There is a subway stop there and underground passageway connecting you to Odori Park. This is a good area to stay in but a bit busier than other areas. Also it is the sight of the Ice Sculpures during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Well lit and wide sidewalks. The tram also passes by here. ANA Holiday Inn and Mercure Hotels are in this area amoung many more. Try Logic Italian Restaurant. When in the intersection, just look up and you will see the well lit sign.
Full fledged area with bars, restaurants, shops and so on. When in Sapporo here is a must visit as it is the capital of the city.
Susukino is the bright lights streets of Sapporo. great bars with food and beer.
