“Excellent Location and Service”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

I had stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I booked for the birthday package. When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist immediately welcome me and help to take my bags. Also when I entered the room reserved , the hotel already prepared the welcome gift for me , this made me feel surprise and being as a VIP in the hotel. When I checked out, they helped me to take my heavy bags to the JR Sapporo station, they were so considerate and helpful.
Location: it is excellent,
Staff:: Helpful and can speak English
Room: my room is 24 sq meters, at high floor, therefore the view is excellent, also well equipped.
Price: it is a little bit expensive, but it is worth.
Other: there is a sonderful " SPA Resort" place in the hotel for the guest
It is hlghly recommended and I will stay at this hotel next time.

Room Tip: check for special promotion of the hotel provided, and request for high floor room to get a better v...

Staying at a Japanese hotel is definetely a delightful experience. Everybody takes care of you and every detail. Breakfast is usually enough for your expectations and room size is always larger than regular ryokan rooms. Very good insulation at winter time.

JR Tower Hotel Nikko
Right smack bang in the middle of most stuff..a major train station, several shopping centres, hundreds of restaurants, car park, bicycle park. It is rather convenient.
However, from my perspective the room was really small and the view really only out onto a somewhat ordinary city. The L35 restaurant provides a great breakfast and a good evening meal. Staff do not have much English and I have no Japanese so asking any kind of question is fun.
We drove our hire car and access, traffic and parking was easy.

What I like :
1) Central location. Easy to get from JR station to the hotel as we were lugging 2 big pieces of luggage. Connected to 4 malls, with 7-Eleven right below.
2) Magnificant view on the 30th floor. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, hotel even gave us a lovely teddy bear.
3) Excellent service. We were treated like royalty the moment we stepped into hotel. The concierge service is excellent and offered us a lot of help in providing English maps and guidance on booking hot spring tour.
4) Very clean and well maintained. Nice big bath area to shower and have a good soak.

What could be better:
1) The size of room is extremely small and sound proof not good. We can hear the laughter from next door.
2) We asked for extra pillows as the ones given were too soft. The reply was that there was no extra pillow available. Unbelievable for a hotel of this size and price ! No effort was made to offer the extra pillows if they become available.
3) No complimentary bottled water and coffee. You have to pay for these standard items.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor south facing units to get a view of the ferry wheel.

Have not stayed in a Nikko hotel before, but this is the only better choice hotel i can find in Sapporo, so booked a a 2 nights stay here. Location is excellent, it links to bus terminal and all the railway lines you need. It also links to more than 4 shopping malls (or even more, i lost count). But most malls closed by 8pm. If you are looking for something to eat, you can go over to ESTA 10th floor for the ramen stores and a few other eatery shops there. The hotel and rooms look slightly better than their picture website. Comfortable i would say. But service is really very very good. If you do not speak japanese, this is one helpful hotel to stay. The guest service desk was very helpful, they help me to confirm my car rental service and sorted out a horrible hotel reservation we had in Otaru. It is also a great hub to explore to other hokkaido areas by train.

The location is outstanding! Central to everything - just next to the bus terminal, sits on top of the JR Sapporo station that conveniently connects to points of interests and the New Chitose Airport and in the midst of the best shopping malls with Daimaru, Apia, Paseo and Esta all connected to this hotel. Staff were wonderful, always greeting you with a smile, very helpful and obliging. Buffet breakfast on 35th floor boasts panoramic views of the city with huge selection of both western and Japanese items. Also tried breakfast at Cafe Serena but it only came in 2 fixed sets. The rooms are delightfully sized (not the typical squeezy Japanese sized rooms) and beds are comfortable. Very clean and well stocked with bathroom amenities that you dont need to bring any! This will be the only hotel I will stay in when I am in Sapporo the next time.

Service: Super 6*. Japanese is famous for its high quality of services and hospitality, this hotel definitely live up with the name and could wow any guest!
Per-stay - Wrote them an email and requested for some info for our 4-days stay in Sapporo. They responded promptly and provided info/instruction neatly. Upon arrival, they even prepared a msg recap in hard-copy letter.
Stay - Got some problem on the room condition at the 1st night and had to run down to front desk (FD) at mid-night. The FD managed the issue appropriately and turn this big risk to a great opportunity in showing how they value every guest experience. I can assure everyone that we have the BEST hotel staff service ever.

Room: Corner twin room is very comfortable, when compared to the normal double bed room we stayed in Christmas. Well worth spending another penny.

Breakfast: Buffet style equipped with very good range of both Jap and Int'l choices.

Overall, this is THE hotel I will only recommend and stay for a good Sapporo holiday!

Room Tip: Upgrade to corner room
