We stayed for 4 nights in a comfortable room on the 23rd floor - so had a good view. A buffet breakfast was included as my husband is SPG Platinum. The hotel is a very short walk to the Shin Sapporo station which is an easy ride to downtown Sapporo, or to the airport 30 minutes away - one tip - book a seat for the return journey as the airport train is full by the time it reaches Shin Sapporo. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay.

I attended a conference held at this hotel and stayed there for that reason. As Sheratons go, I would have to rank this one toward the bottom of the ones I've experienced. There is no gym or in-room wifi. While you can get wired Internet in-room that is small consolation for MacBook Air users who have no Ethernet port. Even though the breakfast was free, I ended up going to an outside cafe to get something decent. Terrible coffee. The room itself was OK, if a bit dated and worn.

On the plus side, it is located within easy walking distance to Shin Sapporo station. Unfortunately, there isn't really much else around so that's a pretty small plus.

Room tip: Bring an Ethernet adaptor

Room was spacious, comfortable and with good view, especially pretty when snowing outside. A few minutes' walk to Shin Sapporo Station which was connected to downtown in about 20 minutes, also easily connected to Chitose Airport.

There were shops nearby good for casual shopping but opened for normal hours only, so if you arrived late at night, not much choice for dinner except 2 restaurants across the street but food was only so-so.

Room tip: Choose rooms on higher floor for better view

I had a reservation with this hotel for 10 nights, upon arrival I was not upgraded to the best available room of the hotel as a platinum benefit. I then complained and get the better room later by the help of a very nice bell staff. The room is old style, there are limited number of staffs staffs working in each shift.

The hotel location is not in downtown Sapporo but close to MRT.

Staffs at breakfast restaurant are friendly and provided good service. Breakfast are super and we really enjoyed it and it made our stay fell like home. The suggestion for improving are for the front desk which are not helpful and cold.

Room tip: Choose for a Japanese style room, keep in mind the standard room and suite room are so tiny.

First thing to note, this hotel is not in central Sapporo. The hotel is actually in Shin (New) Sapporo, and easily connects to downtown Sapporo.
Pros:
It is just across the street from the Shin Sapporo bus terminal, train station and subway stop.
Rooms are big (American size), ours had a view of the snow-capped mountains and city lights.
Service is friendly, and the food is good.
Cons:
Just across the street is not the same as connected to, which is a big difference when navigating over icy sidewalks with luggage.
The area is a little isolated, though the train/subway/bus terminal has the requisite shopping arcade and restaurants.
The bathrooms are the standard, plastic furnishings that are common in many Japanese hotels.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

Room tip: We had a corner twin (two beds) room. Beds are larger than twin size.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Sheraton Sapporo Hotel on your last trip to Sapporo. Regarding way to the Station, subway and bus terminal in this weather, this is one of our big challenges how to keep the road and way comfortable to walk. We will continue to try our best for our guests.
Thank you for your valuable comments and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Sheraton Sapporo Hotel in the near future.
