Firstly, I actually went to the Hachiken branch, not this one, but anyway it's the same chain.

Great sushi!! Really really great quality, and the toppings are quite generous. Better than Hanamaru.. It's a shame that they only have restaurants that are quite 'out of the way' of the city centre. The menu is very broad and a little more exciting than most other kaiten sushi menus that basically all sell the same thing. If you can't speak Japanese it might be a problem as the menu is inaccessible otherwise.

ALSO, if it is within one day of your birthday you get a free 'kobore ikura gunkan' which is basically an ikura gunkan with something like 3 times the normal amount of topping, and by coincidence I went the day after my birthday so I was quite delighted (especially as this would usually be 515yen!)

The downside to this place is that it is expensive compared to other kaiten sushi restaurants, probably more so than Hanamaru. It doesn't help that there was a kaiten sushi about a 1 minute walk away with the scandalously low price of 90yen(!!) a plate. But it's not going to break the bank and it's definitely worth going at least once.

The quality is good, and the price is reasonable for kaiten sushi. They offer a generous fish to rice ratio as well, which is probably why it is popular with the locals, despite being a little far from central Sapporo.

The atmosphere is rather exciting, extremely good for families, but if u are looking for a quiet and elegant meal, do look for other joints. The chefs have a very interesting way of broadcasting your special orders to the entire restaurant making it a rather lively atmosphere.

Communicating in English is near to impossible, and ability to read basic Japanese is required for one to understand the menu.

Absolutely nothing special about this place unless you like to see your just thawed sushi arriving on little conveyor belt carts.
