“Funny looking building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2013

I was caught off guard when i saw this building. Since amidst all the city buzz there is just this one building that stands out and looks different. It was very nice to see though.

“Visit only when there is snow”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2013

Like any other colonial looking building, its facade is like... OK lah. But with SNOW...yes, it makes a lot difference. I was lucky cos it snowed heavily the night before. The whole place become so magical! Yes, only when there is snow. Hence, non-winter periods, pls make this your by-the-way stop only...and not a must-see.

The building itself has become a museum, and is free of charge. But unless you have a deep interest in Japanese history and old governance.... maybe just enter for the warmth (if it is winter) and use the restrooms. Kinda...."YAWN" place....

“Such tranquil environment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Well-preserved from the look of the building exterior. Retains the majestic look about the building and plus points to the keepers of this place as the garden outside is superbly well-maintained. There's a little pond where you can sit down and relax too..
