I really enjoyed this hotel because it had room and was well appointed. The best thing about this hotel was the bathroom...it was mostly glass and had a shade that came down for privacy! Additionally, there was a nice park in the back and front of the hotel for walking enjoyment.

The breakfast here was enjoyable as well.

We are sure this is a very nice place. We had been given a room in the furthest building. My husband has problems, and didn't see any problems as they had a golf-cart shuttle. shuttle. BUT didn't have a driver. Finally given a room next to main building. We were going to go eat....but the hall to there was closed, they wanted us to walk around building. We had two beds, we decided to just shower and go to bed. Next morning, went and had breakfast...it was good. We then learned our room was just about 5 rooms from door going into restaurant.Like I said, it was okay, I thought the hotel we stayed at before this one, was more lush and closer to town to do things.

This was my first trip to China and I traveled with a group, so this hotel was selected by an agency.
The room was spacious and, though not new, had been updated. The bathroom was quite nice with an excellent shower with two heads (rain style above, European on the wall). Linens and toiletries were excellent quality.
This hotel is in several connected pavilions and some rooms are quite a distance from the breakfast area. One may wish to consider this if booking independently. Also, we were awakened by a noisy group arriving late at night because we were near the juncture of two of the pavilions. The hotel is not to blame for this, of course.
It was unfortunately quite rainy while we were there and I did not have the opportunity to explore the gardens surrounding this property, but I hear they are quite lovely.
The breakfast was excellent, offering British / American, Chinese and Indian buffets as well as a cold bar with fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. Custom made omelets and pancakes were also a hit with our group.

Room Tip: You may wish to be closer to the breakfast area (for convenience) and farther from doors and passage...

We are in the 8th day of our 9 day tour of China. We stayed in this hotel for one night after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. We are a family of 4 with small children and this hotel offer a very comfortable rest and relaxation. Again, we were too tired to try the swimming pool as the morning call of the tour is 6:30am. The breakfast buffet is fine and offer many varieties. Definitely recommended. It's too bad we had no time to enjoy. The location was fine and is conveniently located.

Stayed for 3 nights Jan 6-9 and was pleasantly surprised , although the ground was covered with snow, the beauty of grounds were unlike I have ever scene in China. The lake and beautiful swans were an extra bonus. The rooms were large and comfortable , and extreme nice by China standards. This occupancy seemed very low, but I think it is off season, the breakfast buffet was also very nice . Only comment is that Chinese hotels don't heat the hallways and if you are there in the winter just know you need a down coat to walk the halls. Overall a very good experience and far beyond my expectations.

Happened to select this by chance due to the requirement of a quiet friendly place for relaxation and rest. Was greatly relieved that the choice was upto the expected objectives. Checked-in around midnight for two days stay.....staff were ready with my bookings, an upgrade, a lake-view room that was earlier misplaced due the upgrade was immediately corrected to an upgraded lake view room...all in just a few minutes! Room was big, clean, beds very comfortable in stark contrast to many other Crowne Plaza hotels, very good toiletries with the exception of the blunt shaving razor, as it seems to the blunt tradition of all crowne plaza hotels, good care of the bell boy, housekeeping staff, the club lounge custodian, etc. hotel has got a good swimming pool, fitness center nearby the club buildings. being a resort the rooms are to be first found like walking through a crystal maze! Breakfast was ok...no great international cuisine but food was go good quality and tasteful. The hotel has some convenient shuttles to the west lake, but could have had a couple more in the mornings too. There were not in vision anyone who commands a small army of the people who work here, sometimes that is visible with minor glitches in the quality of service and work here and here. Hotel gives bicycles on a two hour hiking around or free...a free tennis court usage, which I did not use. Staff are so oriented to the needs of the guests that I was enquiring at awe the fruits hanging in front of the hotel on the many trees and to my surprise I found one plucked and put on my table n the room when I returned back! Very intelligent guys, I could see. Kudos. In all, a property not much patronized but for sure a great wonderful lake view with a lot of birds giving u a more relaxed feeling than any other it's based hotels.

Room Tip: Choose rooms closer to the lakes and preferably third or fourth floor for better views.

Older hotel with many modern conveniences. Room furnished with beautiful "dark cherry" furnishings. Modern, western-style bathroom. Plenty of hot water for shaving and bathing, and bottle water furnished free for making tea in room. No problems with electrical or internet service. "Best" breakfast in buffet-style, offering wide selection of oriental and western food. Easy to eat quickly and get on about business. Conference center bright and efficient. All staff very helpful and friendly. Quick about duties.

This is a very pleasant place to stay as it has a beautiful view of Xianghu Lake framed by mountains. An early morning walk on hotel grounds to view gardens, swans, and geese is recommended for a peaceful start to the day. I found it very calming, in contrast to the tourist activity at West Lake.

Hangzhou is one of the most beautiful cities in China, with the absolute latest fashion and convenience as shown in the "Sun and Moon" architecture and the new mall. It's gardens and lakes are fabulous, and I heartily recommend a visit to a tea plantation for a better understanding of the methods and value of Chinese teas.

One small thing. I would have preferred slightly lighter color carpet in the halls and rooms, as it gave the impression of being a bit too dark in those areas at night and during foggy days, suggesting perhaps not being cleaned well. But that was only a personal thing, and I found the room to be spotless.

Room Tip: This is a resort area. 2nd floor Executive wing was quieter.
