“A European restaurant to go after you had enough Chinese food”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

The bar with live music is pretty nice. The restaurant is somehow expensive. Maybe even too expensive for the food they cook. And the Cesar salad has too much vinegar.

“Great for Western Travellers”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

The prices are a little expensive, but this is a great restaurant for meeting other westerns and the servers all speak okay English. The food is pretty good and the drinks are good, but the best part of this restaurant is the enviornment.

“Not as good as I expected it to be”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

During my last business trip to Hangzhou, a friend recommended this place to me. Well, I must say the place itself looks nice and cosy. But service is very poor. The waiters never smile and are very slow. The food is just average. It's eatable, but I didn't enjoy it. The drinks are the worst part. The cocktails have no taste. And coffee gave me stomach ache. The live band is more or less ok, but too loud. You can't talk during their performance. And their performances are a little too long usually. So since the weather was good, I moved outside. You can still hear the music from there. But it's easier to survive all that noise. Second floor is more quiet, but boring. Third floor looked nice, but it was closed, when I came.

“Lively bar with live music”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

Nice easy place to meet people if you're on your own, and listen to some live music. Decent value food upstairs.

“Don't get off here”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

We came here based on favourable reviews and recommendations from our colleagues and were more than disappointed. We both ordered their famous burgers and a papaya milk each. After 20 minutes our food came out and it looked good at first glance. We had to remind them about our drinks, which had not arrived and about 10 minutes later, they came. About halfway into our meal, the waitress brought out some bread, that I am sure was meant to be a normal pre-meal bread basket.

The burgers had a really strange very course grind and were actually quite hard to eat. They were very chewy, filled with gristle and made for unpleasant and under-seasoned eating. The buns seem to have been drenched in butter and had a weird buttery taste that did not sit well with the meat. The side salad was sad - the lettuce was a little past its best and had that dirty taste you get from less than fresh leaves.

The papaya milk drinks were simply disgusting. They came out warm and had a rotten sort of taste. I think the papayas were not at their ripest and the milk was UHT not fresh.

The service was careless and uninterested and seeing as there was only one other table of two in the place and four members of staff, it could have been a lot better. We asked for mustard twice and it never came and the staff proved to be elusive throughout our meal.

For the price you are paying, you expect a much higher standard and we will certainly not be recommending the place to anyone anytime soon.
