“Surprising find”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We didn't intend to visit this. Walking through Wushan park and the kids went up some stairs and we started climbing and kept on going. A great way to burn off some extra energy. At the top we were rewarded with some great views from the pavilion which had some interesting exhibits and dioramas inside. On a sunny day, the view would be spectacular. Nice to get away from the crowds. Actually found moments of silence in the middle of a busy city. Went to the nearby night market and Hefang St when we came down.

“OK view, but it is already looking shabby”
Reviewed July 11, 2012

The City God Pavilion is a relatively new construction (1990's), but it is already starting to become a little dilapidated and uncared for. The roof supports are starting to rot and the place could do with a bit of a repair. We were the only people there, so we were able to view it at our leisure. The building looks great from a distance and is alright up close. There is an elevator to the top, so it is quite easy to go up, but there is very little else there. If you do go up to Wushan (Wu hill), then you can visit the hermit cave and the stone carving of Guanyin as well, but neither are breath-taking.
