As a world famous tourist attractions, West-Lake have not only the charming sceneries but also many touched legends. And that is what makes it so special to Chinese.
When we talked about the legends about West-Lake, it is hard not to mention <<The Legend Of White Snake>>. Thousands years ago when a young woodman walked through he saved a little white snake which is hurt. Thousands years later the white snake has became a Naga Queen she wants to repay the woodman that saved her . So she and her sister another green snake become two beautiful young lady to find that man’s reincarnation. And then they met at west-lake, at the broken bridge she knew that’s him. Also the innocent young man was attracted by the beautiful lady. After a long time get along with each other ,they gradually fall in love with each other. So they married, but a monk from Temple JinSan heard of that there is a beautiful lady under the mountain. He knows that the lady is a Naga Queen and he do believe she is cruel, she is making a trigue. So he go to tell the husband that his wife is not a human, he can not believe it. But finally he got it, but the couple are in deep love. They can not live without another even they are willing to die for each other. So they fight for their love with the monk. Finally they failed the white snake was imprisoned in the LeiFeng tower. Then the spoony man is just waiting outside the tower all the time-all the day.
Spring dawn on the Su causeway became a tourist attraction as long as 1090, Su Dong Po that a famous poet was built the narrow road when he was the governor of Hangzhou. In order to honor the famous poet and governor, the local people named the causeway after him.
Spring dawn on the Su causeway, which is a narrow road nearly three kilometers covered with many trees. On the causeway, we can talk with our friends with balmy breeze and see the east of rising sun. I believe you will like it.
(2)Orioles singing in the willows
In the spring, the willows that brook on the sides have green leaf. In the morning, when the orioles are singing, you look these beautiful willows and green water under the bridge. What is more, there are many people here and where, you will found that you look like in the ancient. If want to feel the charm of ancient culture. Orioles singing in the willows will be your best choice.
I want to recite a poem about The legend of West Lake which from American poem Gilliland

Willow Bay (

  All day long

The eagles have cried and circled above the Bay.

  The willows on the shore

  Are trembling in consternation,

  Are sighing and weeping;

For the Queen of Willows has fallen,

  Drowned in the treacherous tide.

Her long hair floats on the green water

  Like ribbons of silver.

  The eagles cry:

  “Farewell !”

The whole area was like a Colonial garden and experience, another time and space from the fascinating allure of the French British Bund!

It was pouring rain and we felt like fools sitting in the rain with the poncho provided, but all was forgotten when the show started. By far the best thing to do in West Lake

Reading all the reviews I can only add my endorsement of this wonderful show. It was breathtaking. We had reserved seats and perhaps VIP I had my view slightly obscured by a tree and could not see the full area. Even with that no complaints. This is a MUST DO!!

Designed by the team that created the opening ceremony to the Beijing Olympic Games, this combination of dance performance, court, and light show captures the story of forbidden love and the lengths people will go to requiet it.

The breezier the night, the more fantastic the lighting is, with mist and impending rain guiding the dance of light beams. The dance and deployment of color expresses the story beyond language, allowing the westerner to understand the story as well as the full time Hongzhou resident does.

Don't pay for VIP seating, the standard seats get an even better view. They will offer you a poncho; you'll feel silly putting it on in the dry, but put it on and take a photo of yourself crinkling and rustling.... You'll be glad you did during Act 3 and Act 5.
