The hotel has a big plays on its location, with stunning views. The design is uninspiring and lacks creativity, although this did not affect my experience.
What did affect my experience was the service, of which I expected far more. I have had the pleasure to enjoy other Four Season hotels and I hoped, in vain, to receive the same service standard here.
When I addressed my issues to a staff member I received a substandard response, whereby the person politely tried to explain to me that I should not expect so much in Hangzhou.
Maintenance in the room was also not that great. Some attention is required there.
I should also say that I did enjoy the atmosphere in the hotel in general, had a great breakfast, enjoyed my time at the pool and met some really nice staff.
I found it overall poor because there were too many glitches for a property with the Four Seasons brand attached to it.More
