“Green Tea Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2014

It does deserve its reputation however we found the long wait/
queue detracted a little from the experience (35min wait) although there was plenty to see in immediate vicinity. Eventual service was quick, food very good but don't expect "atmosphere", it is intended to provide good food at a fast pace.

“Decent food for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

We had a mixture of chicken feet, vegetable and fish dishes in addition to the Bread Temptation is a block of chiffon-type bread with a couple of spoons of vanilla ice cream. Simple dishes but generally tasty. We dropped by the restaurant early to grab a ticket before returning later to the restaurant. If you miss your queue number, you will only have to wait for another three tables to be seated before being called up (note the queue numbers are based on the size of your party so you'd be waiting for equivalent sized parties). It is always worth sticking to the marked signature dishes rather than choosing randomly off the very large menu selection and if you do this your experience at Green Tea is likely to be more consistent.

“Unique setting and good food: be prepared to a long queue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

The restaurant is in a pretty unique location and the layout (several rooms with big windows) makes it a whole with the surrounding nature. Food is very good and particularly cheap. Around lunch-time the queue may be long (particularly if you are more tha 4 people) so be prepared. I strongl suggest to visit this restaurant before or after a walk around the team plantations.

“Beautiful quaint restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014 via mobile

Went to Green Tea restaurant during winter in December and I must say it's indeed on picturesque sight. My friends from Hangzhou highly recommended the food there and they were absolutely correct. It was a nice restaurant overlooking a pond and it was beautiful in winter. The ambience was great and the prices were reasonable.

My friend who frequents Green tea recommends the - Teppanyaki beef, 茶树菇 (enoki mushroom) , 面包诱惑 (ice with bread dessert). And I do recommend the fried brinjal in soya sauce and stone pot porridge.

Would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants a taste of Chinese cuisine in the beautiful Hangzhou

“The horror zone restaurant”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

Getting a ticket and waiting for a table is fine - took us about 20 mins or so for lunch - but the food is an absolute shocker. We ordered around 6 or 7 dishes (way too many but we weren't to know) and all we're disappointing. A slimy and luke warm tofu gunk with a sprinkling of dried shrimp and raw yolk, a roast chicken that came as if it had been scraped off the floor of the A1, cold and raw strips of potato, some other chicken dish that was still oozing blood it was so undercooked and a bit of deep fried breaded fish that Ronald McDonald wouldn't have served it was so bad. Don't believe the hype - this place will definitely not live up to it. Go elsewhere.
