Loved watching the various groups of all ages doing their Tai Chi; The high quality busking be it the 15 person group playing drums or the solo Chinese violin player. Just gave it a nice feel walking around the lake

It a nice park to relax . There are many groups dancing and singing in the park. It was crowded as I was there on a Sunday.

Interesting place to visit to see how the people of Kunming like to play:
music, dancing, entertainment, recreation
all in one park.
Nice at early evening too.

Green lake park isn't really a sight, it's a park, but a nice one. On a sunny day it's a nice place to slow down for an hour or two. You can rent a pedalo boat on the lake and navigate under the bridges which is fun with kids. Don't expect to see the famous seagulls here in the summer. There is some authentic Chinese atmosphere with local seniors practicing Tai Qi or playing instruments.

We walked through early in the morning, around 10am, which I recommend because it is full of local people, many of whom are doing morning exercises with various forms of dance or tai chi and is really a nice dip into the culture of Yunnan. The lake and architecture is also very serene and classic, giving it a great ambience for a walk.
