This is a one of a kind going underground to see how certain pits have been opened up and what treasures have been found, without giving too much away, an awesome way to see how archeologists get to piece together a history left behind. Best way to view this if you on a quick trip is either on the way to or from the airport, but allow time.

“An under-publicized gem !”
Reviewed June 12, 2014 via mobile

The underground museum allowing top and side views of the fully glazed excavated pits are well worth a visit. A lot of the terracotta figurines and animals unearthed from this Han Dynasty Jindi's mausoleum are still very much intact, provides a general insight into ancient society.
A big leap for museum design in China. Very quite and atmospheric which is a rarity, of course this is no longer true when you get one of those awful package tour groups arriving with the inconsiderate tour guide yelling out information.
One drawback, the lux level for highlighting the exhibit's description is too low, and may be difficult to read for some people.
As the location is enroute and only 20 minutes from airport, this is still a worthwhile highlight in the itinerary.

“Impressive exhibition.”

I've been to monuments like this in 4 continents. This is the best presentation of a tomb: this place even has English and French translations of the notices. The thousands of figurine characters are so impressive.

“A less frequented tomb”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

This tomb is still in the process of being excavated by archaeologists and is a wealth of clay models and figurines displaying Jingdi's empire and approach to the afterlife. Very different from the warriors! And a lot fewer tourists! Worth the visit.
