“Beautiful Hotel”

This hotel really was beautiful! There's an amazing wall sculpture just behind the checkin area of soldiers that make for great pictures. The lobby is very elegant looking and makes you feel like you're really staying in a luxurious hotel. It also has free wifi which was a nice bonus. Our room was very spacious and we were very satisfied with the comfort of the beds. Really the only complaint we had about this hotel was that one night, we had to call security and they never showed up. It was about 10:30 pm and some teenagers were playing ding dong ditch on our room. We completely understand that this was NOT the hotels fault, however, we called several times to ask security to assist us and they never came. Again, this is a rare occurance and it wouldn't deter me from staying here again. Also just as a tip, the hotel's gift shop is very overpriced. If you're going to be doing some souvenir shopping in Xi'an, make sure you head over to the Muslim District which is pretty close to the hotel. They have great deals and lots of snacks to try out while you're shopping.

A lovely, smart hotel within the city walls. Nothing very much within close walking distance except a number of small shops. Beautiful reception area. Shop and bars (expensive drinks). Good buffet breakfast, even their packed takeaway breakfast was adequate. Ate dinner in the restaurant twice, once off the buffet and once off the menu - both good. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Even used the table tennis, but didn't have time to use the swimming pool. Rooms quite spacious.

We stayed here for two nights during a three-week vacation to China this month. It's an older hotel within the old city walls, a convenient, 15-20-minute walk to attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and the Muslim Quarter. The hotel is home to a fine, nightly Tang Dynasty musical and dumpling dinner that we enjoyed. Our standard double room was clean, and it had a standard minibar. The breakfast buffet was included in our room rate, but was not very strong. We used the hotel's rooftop swimming pool, which is enclosed, but lighted by a very nice translucent roof. The pool, like others in China, requires use of swimming caps. We purchased ours there for 20 yuan apiece (6.4 yuan to the US dollar.). The hotel offers free public wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms. The wifi was down for the two days and nights we stayed at the hotel. We were able to pick up a 3G signal out of the hotel for our iPad2, but that was inconsistent and unreliable.

The hotel was ok, nice breakfast, nice place to relax outside by the pond. I dont recommend shop in the hotel- i bought some stamps, paid, put the stamps on the post cards, left for a drink to the bar nearby. And 15minutes after they chased me up to pay more as...they made mistake and gave me to many stamps than it was required for Europe which i didnt know how many was needed.
Across the road some dodgy places to get lost for a pint for ..25p a bottle- nothing to be scare of. I recommend that :)

Lovely hotel with beautiful lobby. Not outstanding but decent breakfast. Nice room. Expensive internet in business center. If you are going to the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show, it is in this hotel. Easy to stroll over to it. Is it touristy? Yes. But it is fun and the many kinds of dumplings are delicious!
Good location. The regular dining room was good.

If you want comfort, cleanliness, lots of English spoken and service seen in Western hotels, this is the place. I didn't feel like I was in China at this hotel since there were so many Westerners on tours and entertainment and food was geared toward their expected tastes. It was a great place to stay and have a hot shower after a week of roughing it in the Qinling Mountains. It is close to the city wall and beautiful formal greenway area. WiFi was available free in lobby and paid Internet hookups in room.

Located inside the Xian walled portion of the city, the location is good. The lobby and entrance is wonderfully designed and makes you feel good as you enter. The bell staff is right there to help you. Numerous people speak excellent English. The staff was always ready to answer questions and to serve.

The rooms themselves are quite ordinary.

There is a nice indoor swimming pool.

This is a four star hotel by US standards.

Internet is a little pricey at $30 for a week of access or $8 per day per computer. But the connection and speed were good.
