It's a large, spectacular tower located next to the Muslim Quarter. Well worth an evening visit when it is lit up, and its beauty enhanced. Best photos are from an oblique angle, as trees block the view of the immediate front and back of the tower.

This is beautiful when going at night as it is lit up. It’s also right next to Muslim Street. Plan for two hours for both.

The Drum Tower is another beautifully lit Xi’an building. We stopped here on our night tour of the city. Be sure to take your camera and lots of memory - you’ll want to take photographs galore. A must-see in Xi’an.

The drum tower is very pretty, especially at night when it’s lit up, but there’s not much more to see from the inside. To do both towers, the Drum and Bell (5min walk from one another) it costs 50yuan.
Access to entrance is via the underground subway.

I really enjoyed the visit to the tower. At the top there are many beautiful furniture on display. On the second floor there is an exhibition with drums in all shapes and forms. Here they also perform an excellent drum show. The tower is very beautiful at night as well.

Drum towers in Chinese cities seem to be very similar. Different shapes but similar architecture and drumming displays. If you haven't been in one, they are definitely worth a look and the displays are well worth catching. Visually, at night, they look amazing in Xian.

It is Beautiful at night and in the day.t is a Worth visit when they are having the drum playing at set times. There is normal entrance fees. Here you can see the antique Chinese furniture and enjoy the views.

Very ornate building and well preserved. The restoration was nicely done. Nice place to visit and climb to the top. There are some artifacts inside the tower. It is located in front of the Muslim Quarters.

Not worth paying to go up. Views not great and cost was cheap for a reason! Wouldn't go back up in hindsight l.
