“Wild goose?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

The name of this building is so magical. However the tangled and complex stories that surround it and the building itself are less attractive but not quite as amazing as I had imagined. It is apparently home to a considerable number of monks and looks at its best when lit.
The carbon foot print in X'ian and other Chinese sittings is truly monstrous!

“A Nice Pagoda, Excellent for night time photos.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Traveled her with China Odyssey Tours. A nice pagoda that is a must do if you are in the area. Not overly important to see if is out of your way and you have visited other Pagodas. To be fair, we were getting 'Pagoda'ed out' by day 10 of our 2 week China trip, so we can compare it to others that we have seen. It would be one of the best lit Pagodas in China at night time. Day time though is worth a casual walk through, but don't bother if there are long ques. A display inside talks about the end of the Silk Road and shows a map. The Drum and Bell tours are also well described with signs. Entry into the Pagoda building itself is not allowed.

“A nice day out but not exceptional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We got here by underground an interesting experience. Overall a pleasant park and some points of interest but not worth busting a gut if you are on a tight schedule.

“nice visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

it is nice. Be careful with the vendors..gees...they really want to sell you something...they are almost aggressive...an old lady (about 101 years old) was after me...a lot of poverty here...
