“One of the wonders of the world”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

I have seen the Pyramids but this is a much better experience. In fact totally mind-blowing. I suggest you read a book about the Terracotta Warriors before your visit and then skip the movie. I had already done my homework but someone who watched the movie said it lasted a very long 50 minutes, was in bad English and very out of date. My more up to date book also suggests that, from their description, the movie contains errors. Tour the pits in reverse order. Pit Three first, then Two and finally Pit One. This way you build up to an amazing climax. Avoid the gift shops and the guys selling Terracotta Warriors in the streets and surounding area. Enjoy!

“A must visit!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

You can go on your own if you can find the bus station. It's pretty easy. This archaelogical dig leaves you with no words. If you are planning to go, plan to see the rooms in this order, Pit 2, Pit 3, and then Pit 1. If you do pit 1 first you will find the rest of the exhibit, underwhelming.

“History on an Epic Scale”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Saw the Terracotta Army in June 2012 and was blown away by the sheer scale of it. Nothing quite prepares you for number of warriors or the intricacy of the designs or the vast size of the tomb.

Not wanting to spoil it for those with a hunger to see it...

If you can get to Xi'an, you have to see it!
