We stayed here in Aug 2019. After a long flight and wait at the airport, we were happy to arrive at this hotel. The hotel was about an hour from the airport, but the quality of the hotel was very good. Our room was clean and well presented. The bed and facilities were standard for the hotel class. We were happy to have a brief but good night sleep here with no major concerns. Breakfast was a good selection of Western and Chinese food.

This was a surprise. We did not expect too much but were very pleased with the lobby, bar and restaurant. The staff were very good at checkin.
We booked a room on a Noble Club floor as it was a good deal on offer. We got the top floor with good views and awy from the lifts so no noise.
Breakfast is crazy as they have many tour groups who are all in a hurry in the mornings. The staff are overwhelmed but do a good job.
The hotel is close to the Belll Twoer, Drum tower and Muslim St Markets - easy walk.
It was a pleasant surprise staying there

Room tip: Go for the Noble Floor rooms to be away from the tour groups

First - the pros. The hotel is very centrally located , within 10-minutes walk from Bell and Drum Towers and Muslim Quarter. There is also a bus stop and a metro stop within a few minutes walk. The lobby is gorgeous, English-speaking stuff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful, with a huge variety of European, American, and local delicacies.
Now the cons. There was really only one, and that was the room itself. It seemed to me, the room was planned by someone who never stayed in the hotel. Or, more specifically, never stayed in the hotel with a partner. Allow me to explain. First, the sink is right in the room. Not in the bathroom, not separated by a wall, but right next to the bed, Next, both the bathroom, and a shower, have glass doors without locks (although opaque, providing some resemblance of privacy), that don’t even reach the ceiling! So when one of you is in the shower or bathroom, the other person will hear every single sound coming from there.. or if one person gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and wash his hands, the other will be awaken immediately either by the light, by bathroom sounds, by water from the sink, or all of the above (like I was). So if you are a light sleeper, or you and your partner are on different schedules, you'll be better off staying somewhere else.

We stayed here while on an Odynovo 13 day China Private tour. This hotel is Grand by name and in our view the experience matches the name.
From the lobby, to the halls and the many function, meeting, dining rooms etc all are very well presented and furnished.
We found the front desk service here very good as we did at all properties we stayed at on the tour.
Location is great only a block or two from the Bell / Drum Tower and City Wall.
Breakfast is very well presented with plenty of variety.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room tip: Rooms facing the main road offer better views
