So much color and sound and "buzz"! Wonderful to just walk around and enjoy. We saw it on our first night in Xi'an. A little crowded, yes. But still delightful. And the light & music display on the pillars was lovely and innovative. Doesn't cost a thing but your time. Worth every second.

Haven't been inside, but the little park around the pagoda is nice. You have some artists, stalls, you can pik-nik there on a sunny day. But a bit crowded

After visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, we headed north in search of some grub. We passed plenty of trinket stalls and found ourselves a place to eat. It got dark after dinner and that's when the good stuff started.
The North Square was all lit up in various colors and the fountains themselves were beautiful. This is the perfect photo op while in Xi'an and, best of all, free. Highly recommended!

It was field and village before the square was built here. I prefer the original old outfit rather than this modern big project.

THis is a big public pavilion next to the Big Goose Pagoda (there is no entrance fee for this area so confused as to why some reviewers have mentioned it). The pagoda is a big tourist atttraction, thus the surrounding area has been developed to accomodate all the tourists. It is a good place for people watching. Ther eis lots of walking space, pools and fountains and reporoductions of traditional buildings that house shops and resteraunts. There are smaller, cheap noodle shops if you go looking in the smaller alleyways near the road overpass.

Not an attraction is itself, but good to wander around if you ar evisiting the Pagoda or the History museum that is 10mins walk down the road.
