We were a family of seven traveling together and had four rooms in all. The hotel is in a convenient location just outside one of the western entrances of the old city wall. It's not close enough to walk to most of the popular shopping or tourist sites however. There isn't much in the immediate area so we ate at the hotel restaurant (the one in the adjacent conference center building) twice.
The beds are very firm--one of the firmest we encountered of the seven hotels we stayed in in China. So you'd better like a firm bed or you may wish to consider alternative hotels! On the plus side, the rooms are very large. They are similar to a U.S.-style Embassy Suites suite minus the kitchenette features like a wetbar or microwave.
Breakfast was typical of most Chinese hotels of this quality--a very good selection of Chinese and Western offerings.More
