Tucked away on the side of Walking Street between the Waterfall and the Sheraton this restaurant has really delicious food.

Its a bit pricey though and the service is a bit laggard however the food is consistently good and well worth the visit.

They have a nice outdoor area - under umbrellas in case it rains - and the outdoor area is probably the best place to sit and enjoy the meal.

Downside is that they insist on having a DJ playing really loud music while you are trying to eat and both times we have eaten here we have had to literally beg the management to turn the volume down because it was impossible to talk.

Its a busy place especially in the season but the food is well worth taking the effort to make a booking to ensure a place.

We were invited to dinner by Grace Wang of China Culture Tours. This restaurant is opposite the Li River about 2 minutes walk from the Sheraton Hotel, set back from the road just past the deli.

This is one of the best meals we have eaten so far during our trip throughout China and McFound in Guilin is also at the top of our list.

We ordered various soups to start with, the Chicken & Coconut was delicious. They are well known for their sizzling beef dish with scrambled eggs, the quality of the meat was tops. The stir fry Green beans with chilli were yum. Stuffed mushrooms with meat were to die for. Stir fry rice was also good. We also ordered dessert, various dumplings and I really liked the duck egg sweet filled one with custard. Also ordered the jelly. We chose the local beer.

Everything was well cooked and very tasty. The service good and the staff friendly. The restaurant is set in a pleasant garden. If we had known about this restaurant sooner, we would have visited the first night we arrived. Compared to all of the food we have had in China so far, this place tops our list for Asian cuisine.
