“Well Worth the Trip”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

I wasn't too sure about this prior to my visit there, but once inside I didn't want to leave. This is a stunning place in so many ways. The size of the cave is breathtaking -- at times it seems as though you're in an airplane hanger or some domed sports stadium. The lighting can be a bit garish in places (I mean, really, hot pink next to bright purples and greens?), but at many other times it is well done and adds to the experience. There's a lot of history here, and it's a great place to cool off on a hot day!

“Not To Be Missed”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Spectacular cave with awe inspiring formations. We traveled here on a hot day in June, and I was pretty tired. But the cave is so worth it. One wanders through the cave looking at one spectacular formation after another. Unusual in this cave there are both curtain and shield formation as well as the usual stalactite and stalacmite formations. It is lit beautifully to show off the formations without interfering with the natural beauty.
History of this is that one of the Ming Emperors used the caves for a hiding place and indeed it was a good place. The cave was covered by reeds so that visiting Marauders could not find them.

“Stunning limestone formations”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Next to the Li River cruise, this is one of the best sites in Guilin. It's even more spectacular than the Yellow Dragon Cave in Zhangjiajie.

“Terrible coloured lights”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

These caves are interesting and full of great formations. Unfortunately they are lit with garish coloured lighting.
