We were taken to this place by a cab who intimated it would be better than where we asked to go - he was wrong !It cost 130rmb each to get in , everything was written in Chinese and it was quite hard to understand what was going on . This place was the old admin centre for Guilin 600 years ago and the buildings were good although they looked as if they had been done up like the Chinese like to do .At the bottom of the complex there is a good peak you can climb with good views over Guilin . There are better views down the road in Diecau park which is where we asked to go in the first place . We went there afterwards , it's great and only costs 30rmb. I would not bother with this place .

The official ticket price on the door is 130 rmb which is completely over price for what to see in there (well as a tourist who don't understand any chinese). The first palace is a recent reconstruction with tourist shop almost at the end of every single sights inside the complex. The explanation for the sights in english are very minimal. There are guides who explained the sights only in chinese everywhere which seem to be part of the ticket price like it or not, so unless you can understand mandarin or have english guide, this place might be better and worth the money.

Enjoyable views, interesting walk up, set in a university campus. We got a discount from our hostel, so worth it then, otherwise quite expensive. Nice views even with a December Haze.

The solitary beauty peak is the only peak standing in Jingjiang Prince City. The beauty of the hill is not just from its appearance but also from its history. There are many stone inscriptions on the hill, which are very amazing for me.

Paid RMB70 for a ticket to get into the old city and Prince's Palace, which included the right to climb the Peak. Need to be fit as the stairs are steep and relativey unsafe by Western standards. Outlook over Guilin from the top is worth the climb. There is an art gallery that is worth a look on the way out.
