Stayed at this hotel 2 nights during a round trip in China. The room was very nice with two big beds. free internett worked fine. Did not try the swimmingpool but it looked great. food- very nice, but spacy. rommservice nice and cheap. We had a nice view over the sea in front of the hotel and in the evening there are lights in the trees and the bushes and you can have a wonderful walk by the lake . In our rooom we had a little problem with our shower as it was very little water coming out of the shower head. I reported it but they came to fix it so late in the evening that we were asleep. But I guess they have fixed it by now. The food in this area of china is much more spacy than in Beijing. I am not so happpy about to much chili so I prefer the food in Beijing and Shanghai. If you are in Guilin take a boat trip on the river Li . Beautiful nature and a very nice trip. Be aware of that they cook the lunch in outside kitchen on board. We brought biscuites and coke and was happy about that choise.
When in Guilin we also visited a big cave . They had set lights in here and it was very nice. We also visited a pearl museum . Nice pearls and not so expensive.
In the hotel they had a nice shop and with souvernies, clothes, some food and other stuff. If you come to guilin this hotel is a nice place to stay.

Stayed there 3 nights in mid june. Usually I book directly via tripadvisor but this time I prefered booking a complete tour package via a local guide and it was worthwile (the rate was the lowest published in tripadvisor and she got me through the check in process which also helped getting a nice room I think) . The hotel staff was very polite . We had a room at the top floor and with a nice view to the river. Breakfast was very rich in selections , great breakfast. The hotel was clean and so was the room. Bed spacious and comfortable . Nice walk arround the hotel. There is a very nice promenade right in front which takes you via bridges, trees on the river bank to the city hall and to the center. The nice pagodas are just within 15 minutes of a nice walk (if it is not heavily raining) and the elephant hill and fubo hill ar further 15 minutes or so along same way. Internet is wired and free and available in the room. Public areas inside the hotel are also nice and clean.

This was suppose to be one of the nicer hotels in Guilin. From the outside, especially at night, it's all lit up and looks inviting. The lobby is really nice too, however, there is a musty odor that permeates throughout the building. I don't know if it's from the carpeting, or from the lake outside. It had been raining and it's hot and humid. The rooms are nice enough. I was a little taken back from the mat in our shower which showed crusty molds, I didn't step on it, rather around it. Still the view from the room was spectacular, it overlooks the lake. The entire town of Guilin is like Vegas, all the buildings are lit up in colorful lights. Since we were with a tour (China Spree), we didn't venture out, so not sure what is within walking distance of this hotel. This was the first hotel with a swimming pool, so our kids were thrilled!

The hotel is modern and full renovated. The spaces of the hall and of the conference halls are very big.
The rooms are ok, with internet with no extra cost. My room was noisy, because of the not so good acoustic isolation of the window. You cannot the drink water of the bathroom, but you have water in closed bottle with not extra cost in the room, given every day.
With low extra cost you can have international breakfast, with well furnished buffet. The restaurant is also good. If you need some snacks, there is a small shop in the hall.
The hotel is almost in the city center. With a small walk you can arrive to the elephant park, to the lake or to the river. The naturalistic scenario of the city was really very nice.

Guilin Bravo hotel is very a very pleasant place. The staff are friendly and helpful. I always judge a chinese hotel by its beds and these were pretty good. We had deluxe rooms overlooking the lake. The western breakfast was fine but the lunch we had in the hotel when we arrived but not very good. The room was a bit noisy as the lake is a popular place with the locals and they like to start their days early. The lake is a nice area to wander around and watch the local ladies dancing and the tai chi groups. About a 20 minute walk to the pedestrian street with a few bars and cafes with english menus. .
