“Our Favourite Guilin Restaurant”

Li River Cuisine Restaurant
Ranked #12 of 313 Restaurants in Guilin
Description: Opposite the Waterfall hotel beside the lake. Formerly named Congee City. More rustic than slick but the food's ok and the nplace is open 'til late, which is unusual especially in this part of Guilin. It'sa useful address, I think. DW

“Our Favourite Guilin Restaurant”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Li River Cuisine Restaurant is walking distance from our hotel, Jing Guan Minglou Hotel Guilin. The walk is through the Ronghu beautiful and scenic lakeside landscape. The restaurant is brightly lit up, spacious and is served by many workers. Apart from the beautiful surrounding, the restaurant serves very delicious food and the charge is quite reasonable. We make it a point to always eat here every time we come to Guilin.

“Li River scenery unforgettable”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

LiRiver boat tour needs to improve itself. The lunch was bad. Not satisfactory in choices and also not delicious. The boat needs to have seats at the top.We were tired to stand up for hours.Of course we could go down to sit how could we watch the beautiful scenery then?Remember the village on 20 Yuan can be seen on this trip.

“Down a Lazy River”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

A most enjoyable and relaxing day trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, karst landscape and people.

The lower interior portion of the boats tables and seating was crowded. Each table accommodated 10-12 people. We had seating at a 4 person table in a small glassed area on the upper deck which made the trip and visibility more enjoyable.

The food served was nothing to brag about but was served hot. Anticipating this, we brought a bag of snacks and sandwiches.

Yangshuo is always a pleasure to visit. A walk down West Street made the trip complete.

The Li River cruise is a "must do" for Guilin visitors wanting a leisurely view of the river and karst scenery. One might consider the cruise and then stay for the excellent light show. Spend the night at one of the reasonable hotels and the next day enjoy walking West Street and the area. Breakfast and lunch at Lucy's Cafe or just stopping for her apple crisp is memorable in itself.

“Mediocre restaurant”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

This restaurant looked nice and was recommended by our driver, but was almost our worst meal in China. It was expensive and not tasty.

“It is so serene and so lovely”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

The boat is comfortable and the views are spectacular. It is a pleasant and relaxing trek filled with so much natural beauty. we were lucky to have beautiful day so it was perfect. the buffet lunch is fine and there is enough to eat for westerners. there was also a western toilet on our boat at the far left facing all three restrooms.
the tour was conducted in Chinese and English, but the English was very hard to make out. Overall it was an amazing trip.
