“Healthy, well-priced western fares”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

My friend and I went here for a quick dinner on our last night in Yangshou and I'm sorry we didn't discover it sooner. Our server spoke perfect English (we suspect she's Phillipino) and was very prompt and courteous with our order. The menu is priced accordingly to other western cafes in Yangshou (and maybe a bit cheaper) and offers many more healthy options to most of the other cafes. I had the veggie burrito which was spectacular, and my friend had the gyro and hummus which were very good (and home-made). They offer home-made breads and easy takeout if you don't want to eat in.

Bottom line: appropriately priced, healthy alternatives, a nice break from greasy/heavy Chinese.

“Standard fare, nice little spot.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

As with lots of the cafes and restaurants on this street their menu is pretty extensive with both western and Chinese options. The beefburger is good, as is the lemon chicken. Nice quiet place to sit upstairs and look out over the street and watch the people flood by.

“Tripadvistor should change the Name of the Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

The Town is not Guilin but Yangshuo.
Tripadvistor should contact the orner soon as possible because it s a very good restaurant in Yangshuo.

“Bland breakfast -- go elsewhere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

I got the banana pancakes, where were undercooked and bland. My husband got toast and eggs. The eggs were bland but the bread was good. The only good thing we ate was the home made bread. Don't bother ordering anything else. The vietnamese coffee was not even vietnamese style coffee (with sweetened condensed milk). There are much better breakfast spots in Yangshuo -- don't bother with this one.

“BREAKFAST!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

If you're a fellow expat and missing "proper breakfasts" from home, Cafe Mimosa will set you straight. Come for the breakfast, stay for the breakfast, write home about the breakfast. YUM.
