“Very nice hostel and nice helpfull staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2012

We really appreciated this hostel: cheap clean, not far away from the bus and railway stations, and most of all a very nice and helfpfull team. The staff helped us to book several trips in Guilin Yangshuo and the rice terrasse and gave us many advices.
Thanks to all of you.

Wada Hostel is a really nice and clean place near the city centre of Guilin. Wifi and showers are 24/7 available, towels are provided. The staff (Ada and Alice are awesome!) helped us organizing our trips and gave us helpful advices. Western & Chinese food was really good and cheap - best cappucino & dumplings in China!

I have been in hostels all over China and this is by far the best I've stayed in. The rate is reasonable if not down-right cheap for the services provided. They don't charge for towels, they dispense free and helpful advice from travel trips and packages to numbers of other hostels, have reasonably priced cocktails, and fun events in the hostel. Beds are comfy and come with your own lock-box (if you have choose the slightly more expensive AC dorm rooms). Conveniently located near a bus stop that takes you into town or nearby bus station for only 1 yuan but away from all the city noise and traffic. Stay there. The staff is awesome. You won't be disappointed.

A very helpfull and good english speaking staff. They also can help you with booking of several intresting sightseeings (special the rice terrace fields). The rooms are really basic. A good breakfast for a fare price. Although right in the centre you hardly hear the noice from the street.
Free use of internet. Wifi connection was average. No credit cards accepted.

Thanks Hansvink for your review. We're always here to help. As for method of payment, we do only accept cash but we have the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) directly across the street from us for guests who need to withdraw local currency through the networked ATMs. Also, Bank of China is just a 5 minute walk for those who need to exchange currency. For many parts of China it may be difficult to exchange currency or use a credit card, so it is advisable to carry enough local currency when you are going to travel, especially in more remote areas.

WADA hostel in Guilin is à very good and friendly place. The double rooms are big enough and clean. The communal area is nice and THE food and drinks are nice priced. From and to the busstation is convenient with bus 10. All buses in Guilin cost only 1yuan. Yuan Yuan, one of the friendly and good english speaking girls can arrange à lot for the guest. For us she arranged flighttickets for à very good price to Kunming. Next to WADA is à little market weer they sell frogs etc.

area is Nice and the food and drinks are nice priced.

Room Tip: The double rooms are good.

Thank you Berendino for your kind words. I'm happy that I was able to find you cheaper flight tickets. Now I wouldn't know why any of our guests would be interested in buying frogs other than to scare all of us girls here! Have a wonderful trip in Kunming!

EXTREMELY helpful/friendly staff here at Wada. A very pleasant and enjoyable common area atmosphere. They have a number of activities throughout the week...all you can eat BBQ night, dumpling making, and a city bike tour. The staff was SUPER awesome in assisting us obtaining train tickets (no easy feat in China)! A+++
