“Great Predictable Hotel. 20 dollars a day internet”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

So im a fan of Ritz-Carlton Hotels and i did my best to try and stay in their hotels. That is until this stay, somehow i didn't notice before now how annoying the internet thing is. Yes the Hotel is beautiful and smells great once you come in (important in china) rooms delightful, the staff does its best do be nice and welcoming, the breakfast impeccable. But now, for 465 USD a night you expect better and internet now is not a little thing, it is extremely important. Having to go through an intro page asking for your room number and last name every minute and from every different device hampers the whole experience. So from now on i will look for hotels with wifi included no matter what because it doesn't feel well for a hotel of this hierarchy to be tormenting host for something so important.

Good location, good services, rooms are in good size but shower water not good enough by 5 star hotel standard , beds are too soft. Breakfast are good . Pools are great .

Rooms are lovely, just what you would expect for a Ritz Carlton, and very very good food

Two issues, the staff are lacking, in every department, which for an RC is a massive letdown, also taxi's you can be waiting for ages to get one, secondly as its in zerjang new town, not many taxi drivers know where it is even with the hotel card.

Dissapointed

I stayed in this hotel with a family including two young babies. Based in the criteria needed for two babie sleeping in my room and the help I received I was pleased with the size of the rooms. Check in took about 20 minutes and despite arriving just before midday the hotel had made sure the room was ready so that we could settle the babies down for their midday sleep so I could unpack on arrival. The babies had other ideas though so we took them down to the ground floor restaurant and staff were concerned about finding us a quiet table. The buffet was exceptional with sooo much choice and very fresh food from all different countries.
Beds in the rooms are large, very comfortable and despite an ugly view of a construction site, the room was quiet.
The pool area is relaxing and pretty with great staff on hand for anything and everything you might need.
The only thing lacking, in my opinion, was outdoor space but maybe completion of the construction site was going to rectify that....worth finding out....
Some of the family went to the spa and thier tip would be to ask for a gentle massage as the 'medium' was very powerful indeed!!

Allhought you might feel confident becouse the name don´t hesitate, don´t book here.
Good staff:
1. The situation is fine, it has nice views over the river and of the tv tower.
2. Nice reception hall (even its small and allways too busy)
3. Atonishing chinease retaurant.
Bad staff:
1. Smelly rooms (like a swiming pool changing room) all of them, in fact, all of the hotel (corridors, meeting rooms ...)
2. Staff is saturated
3. We were checkin after three hours wait
4. Sopouse to be a twin bed room but give as a queen bed!!! (It was not even a king bed)
5. Maybe it was just my feeling, but the hotel staff looked overflooded
6. My platinium membership only granted me free internet.

I have stayed here a few times on business, and it offers good business support - from conference rooms to speaker phones, etc. What I love here is the buffet: breakfast is excellent (pastry department particularly strong, whereas the service at the noodle station is more spotty), as is lunch. The gym is one of the best I have ever seen, and the pool is wonderful - great places to work off the stress from the business meetings (not to mention the calories from the buffets). Finally, the concierge (Kazaf Lu) was particularly helpful in arranging for a quick repair of my earring.
