This place reminded me of a 1920's factory. Busy, dark, and no time for getting to know you.
Coming during the Canton Fair probably didn't help this feeling.
We stayed at the immensely beautiful and large suites on the 6th floor, room 666 (not my first choice for room numbers!). If it is possible, this room was TOO big! What an experience, couldnt ask for more.
The bed in this room was round, and was made from 2 half moon mattresses. The issue is the met right where your hips land and I sank in between all night. Not a wink of sleep!
Front desk staff pumped you in and out and their English wasn't the best, but I am in China and didn't expect them to be fluent.
The breakfast buffet was geared toward locals and a little selection to Europeans. Not a bad thing, just not what Americans are used to for the first meal of the day.
Location, location, location! We walked across the bridge to Shaiman Island, got a Starbucks, and took in the beautiful sites. My room looked out over the river and bridge turning colors all night. I was able to work and watch the boats go by. This never gets old!
