Just spent 3 nights at the hotel and enjoyed the stay. I was attending the Canton Fair and with their free shuttle it made it a painless journey. Room was great and a real benefit to have excellent speed free wifi. Breakfast was fine and in the evening we ate at Cafe Royale which was adequate but same menu boring after 3 nights, took a look in at their Chinese restaurant but found it to be expensive. Liked the little touches in the room such as fresh fruit daily and free cool drinks in the fridge and finding a free copy of the English version of the China News. Went on walkabout one night but not much doing.

Well appointed and well located with a shuttle bus service to the fair. We got a good deal on Expedia, although otherwise room rates were a bit expensive for the level of accommodation. Room a bit on small size for 2 people but ok. Nice bathroom. Gym under renovation and we were not informed as it is not on their promotional material. Good breakfast buffet, and good restaurant (Chinese). Japanese restaurant is poor, with them not even knowing what Teriyaki is!!! Didn't have wine in small bottles at the bar and after waiting 20 mins after ordering we gave up.

From usual 5stars western hotels, i tried this solution for canton fair period. Average positive choice. Good position at10 min from fair by their shuttle bus.rooms big and acceptably clean.free wireless.good service but never tried inside restaurants. Expect a chinese style hotel (if you travelled mainland you know what i mean).at ouside no very nice area.i will probably come back again.

Modern, comfortable hotel. Staff speak very little English but are helpful and obliging. The room was large, comfortable and well-decorated. Breakfast buffet is extensive with plenty of Western and Chinese dishes & lots of fruit. Pastries and croissants often have a "Chinese" twist to them (e.g. sweet corn & cheese croissant) but taste fine once you get used to the difference in flavour. Location is convenient for trade fairs however it is a bit far from the city centre. The nearest metro station is a 25 min walk or short cab ride away. The hotel recommends going to Dongpu station as it is the closest but it is a small and sometimes isolated station - it's better to use one of the larger ones along Zhongshan Ave. The area around the hotel has a couple of small malls, restaurants and street food stalls but they aren't anything great. The Chinese restaurant at the hotel is pretty good and better than any of the restaurants close by.
