Chez Max is a little piece of Paris in GuangZhou. The food is top notch, the menu changes to accomodates with the seasons and to provide the customers with the best ingredients available (imported or local).

The decoration is really nice and makes me feel like I am back in France.
Very good services comes on top of all of this.

I have been living in guangzhou and that means of course i eat a lot of Chinese or Chinglish food so, its nice to find a place that serves authentic european food. The restaurants located in a very busy area around a very popular landmark in guangzhou, 'Garden Hotel'.
If you wanna take the metro just hop unto line 5 get off at the stop called taojin and head out exit A. You should be able to find it without much trouble though u got to walk a little, about 10min give or take a few minutes.
The place is great for taking your date. Nice cozy and romantic to an extent. They also have outdoor seats.
The menu is great and maybe a little pricey but, hey its western food in china thats expected right. Its owned by a french chef so its worth a visit. I have tried the lamb fillet, veal sausages, chocolate delight, creme brûlée, apple and rhubarb pie and salad. They have all been great no complaints at all. If you are planning on a three course meal please be ready to fork out about RMB200 per person.
Give it a try, am sure you guys will love it too.

Excellent food. Good service. Very nice atmosphere. The set of menus are very interesting. It is real French cuisine by a French cook. Very nice.
It is easy to access by metro line 5 to Taojin, exit A, behind the big garden hotel.

Something different to eat while being in Guangzhou, absolutley no chinese food and very good ingredients, even though I found a bit overpriced but the restaurant is very nice and cozy. Great for taking a date.

Very good restaurant a big surprise for China.

Steak was excellent - we ordered the medium but received it rare, best to order it a little more cooked. But the cut of meat was excellent.

Lamb shank - Tasty but not as good as the steak

Cocktails are well made.

Service - The ladies tried very hard to make sure that we had everything that we required. Just need to learn not to lean over the patrons.
