Visited this mall yesterday (July), was nice to go inside after walking for about 25 mins. on a 95 degree (F) weather. Headed toward the info desk which is located in front of the Estée Lauder store. Attendant didn’t speak English, but she quickly handed me the mall directory booklet that was translated. Headed first to the Aeon dept store (basement floor) and wow they have a lot of household stuff that I couldn’t find in the States at very cheap prices. Also lots of clothing, jewelry, accessories, great supermarket, go checked it out. The rest of the mall have many local restaurants, coffee shops and American chains like DQ. Visited Watsons, a pharmacy chain to get some stuff too. Very reasonable prices on locally made products that I had been using since childhood. Merchants can’t speak much English but there is always “Body Language” and/or translation apps that we use to communicate. I found out that there are very eager to help you and make sure that you are please with their service.
P.S. At Aeon dept store you could use your American or International Credit Cards, but at Watsons you cannot. Make sure that you carry CHY cash so you could buy stuff when our cc don’t work. Places like MCDonalds, KFC, 7 Eleven don’t accept American cc just cash.

Mid range mall with mostly recognisable brands. Many tech stalls like XIAOMI and HUAWEI showcasing their broad range of local products. Prices are similar if not slightly cheaper than worldwide prices. You’re not getting a bargain at the mall, but the mall has a wide array of shops and thus something will definitely catch your eye.

A miss if you’re looking to shop for cheap garment. A kiss if you need some upscale shopping after your hectic market bargain hunt the day before.

My wife and I recently visited the Tee Mall during our short visit to Guangzhou. The mall is easily accessed via Metro with a direct connection to the Tiyu East road station.

As with any major shopping mall, this mall offers your usual mix of local and international brands spread across a number of levels (although we personally felt that there were more local brands here). There's a large AEON department store in the basement which also carries a supermarket selection.

There are numerous other malls located along the main road - One Link Mall, Grandview and Victory Plaza - all of which carry various international brands so be sure to explore the other malls as well.

We visited on a Friday night in December and the crowds were out in full force for the weekend and the Christmas season. This was also the case in the metro and in the other shopping malls in the vicinity.

I’ve been going to TeeMall (aka, “Saloon of Guangzhou”, or in Chinese as Tianhe Cheng, Tianhe City Mall) for over ten years. It is my favourite mall in Guangzhou, and from the crowds generally there, it is likely the favourite of many. Guangzhou Travel Guide states “The current average daily traffic has reached 30 … [thousand, GTG actually says million, not thousand, but I take that to be a translation type error], more in holiday traffic, the maximum 81 … [thousand] in a day” Thus, it is the most visited mall in Guangzhou. Excluding the basement shops, the seven-floor, 160,000 square metres shopping mall has seven floors packed with department stores, international chains, and national and local Chinese retailers offering a wide range of upmarket, high quality products, a cinema, gaming centres on level six loaded with kids, restaurants (most found on the 6th and 7th floors), fast food outlets, galleries, and more. Due to import taxes, the retail prices of some imported goods are on the expensive side. But there are always sales taking place, and I always keep finding great buys.

Centrally located in Tianhe District, it is one of the upscale areas of Guangzhou. It is easy to get to by metro/subway, bus, and taxi. It essentially connects with Tiyuxi Station, which is served by Metro Lines 1 and 3. The subway system in Guangzhou is great for getting around and is very inexpensive. There is also a major bus station within walking distance. For those driving, there is parking for 3,000 cars. I’ve started renting small two-seater ZED electric cars to get around. For my typical daily use for 5 to 12 hours, I generally pay between 30 rmb and 100 rmb. The rental is based on a base of around 7 rmb, length of use, and distance travelled.

My favourite restaurant in TeeMall is Restaurant Charme, located on the 7th floor, units 704A, 705-705A. In addition to having a wide variety of diversified cuisine offerings infused with Chinese and Western cookery, a menu in Cantonese and English, and private dining rooms.

There are also other malls and department stores in the area, including GrandBuy and Grandview Mall, cinemas, a wide range of cuisine offerings through the many restaurants, cafés, hotels, Tianhe Sport Centre, and more.

Mall hours are:
• Monday – Thursday 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Friday 10:00 am - 10:30 pm
• Saturday 9:50 am - 10:30 pm
• Sunday 9:50 am – 10:00 pm

Although I do some of my shopping at TeeMall (and even yesterday, I bought six items there, including electronics and clothes) and ate at Restaurant Charme, I buy most things in Guangzhou’s many wholesale markets, where I enjoy the great variety, prices, and bargaining.

I will upload over 100 photos of this very impressive and beautiful mall. It is a great place to hang out for a few hours or more.

Tee mall is great for most international brands, yet another floor down you will step into a much more buzzing and young market place for local Chinese brands, it looks peppy and does rev you up after a long day in Guangzhou.
