They didn't have pan fried foie gras, so opted for the escargot which was very bland and oily. The rib eye was nice and perfectly cooked to medium rare. Probably the best steak in Guangzhou but doesn't compare to top steakhouses in the states. 1 appetizer+rib eye+1 bottle of water came out to be usd90 per person. Not cheap, even by western standard, especially in a hotel coffee shop setting where staff in the open kitchen talked very loudly to each other. service was friendly but not attentive enough for a 5 star hotel steakhouse, again more like service in the all day dining hotel coffee shop.
For those who are dying for a steak on their trip, maybe G would be a good choice. But there are plenty of wonderful food to be had at much cheaper prices. (adjusted for local standard of living, the meal probably was equivalent to usd300 per person.)
