“Out of the way but worth it”

The temple is in Panyu, far from the center of Guangzhou and so can take maybe 2-3 hours to get to but I found the hassle to be quite worth it. When I went, the temple was clean, well-maintained, and not crowded which is highly unusual in mainland China! The Guanyin statue is beautiful and there's lots to see and photograph. Highly recommended.

It has the traces of xihan dynasty nearly 2000 years ago .,,commonly known as the LOTUS FLOWER FORT .A place where the nature bleands with the mans exploitation to give a marveloues land scape. If u take a taxi it will almost cost u 120 rmb or can take a metro line 3 get off at shiqiao metro station exit c walk along the road for 10 min to the panyu shiqiao bus station . (bus no 92) .there is no direct bus to reach here. you can see the golden statue of the godesses and a beautiful fiew from this point.,,, should carry water and some snacks item as u need to walk a lot to see the different points. The vegetarian food is available here.

“Nice place but, too expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

This place has a nice little temple and has the big statue looking over the sea. This statue is great and huge and amazing to look at. But, for me it was a little too expensive to get in.
Also a bit far from guangzhou.
This place is supposed to be closer from panyu and i live in panyu it still took me a while to get there.
Felt it was a little out of way, for its worth.

“Worth to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

We took a metro from Haizhu station to Shiqi Station and it took almost an hour via train. From Shiqi station, walked towards the bus stop in front of the metro station. Took bus no. 93 (only CNY2) and alighted at the last stop (bus station). At the bus station, turned right and walked about 5 mins. The entrance of Lotus Hill is on the right hand side. Admission fee is CNY40 per pax. Recommended to take the tram as it can be quite tiring to walk towards the pagoda/kwan yin statue. However, if you take the tram, you'll miss some of the beautiful scenary on the way. The park is quite large, hence lots of walking required. Spent at least 2.5 hours. Good to take a snapshot of the park map to have better navigation.
