Beautiful, new hotel in a great area. Large, comfortable rooms. Very clean. It was clear that the staff in the bar and restaurants were trying very hard to be accommodating. Still some language and cultural barriers to work through, but that is hardly their fault.
Best of all is the location. Forget the shopping mall, which looks, well, like a shopping mall. Get out into the local neighborhoods, explore the shops, markets and food of the real people. This is a fascinating corner of town.
Only problem for me was with the hotel's Chinese restaurant which featured an abundance of dishes featuring shark fin. I know it's viewed differently in China, but I find this reprehensible. An American hotel should set a higher standard.More
