This is where the symbol of Guanzhou is found. Legend says that if you walk around the goats three times you will have good luck.
Worth a visit as the whole area is so beautiful hiwever there is a lot of steps for those less able. I visited with my father and he never made it to the goats as there were too many steps.
Worth a stop off for sure.

There is a walk up these big stone steps (approx 375) - great exercise or you can just snail pace up. In between the steps - there are people practicing tai ji, dancing, relaxing with playing chess. There are a lot of locals and right across the street from the Dr Sun Yet Sen memorial. Expect to spend about 2 hours going up and down. Of course more if you want to join the ladies for a little dancing.

There is a long road before reaching the hilltop but you won't be bored in the journey to get to the hilltop. Some local people will do exercise at there or playing Chinese chess. At the hilltop, there is a statue of Five Goat. It has its own story of the five goat. A nice place to visit.

This is a lovely oasis in the city - beautiful park with some of the only remaining bits of the old city wall and the 5 Rams statue is iconic to Guangzhou - the legend is that it represents the 5 rams who brought down the rice plants when the region had been suffering from famine, saved the people, and then the rams became gods. Fun to see all the older folk dancing in the open areas and 'exercising'. Respite from the intense heat of the summer - lots of shade. Bring plenty of water and comfortable shoes.

Hilly and not for the faint hearted. There are stroller friendly paths but steep and the whole area is scenic and houses many other attractions so do plan a leisurely day out.
Get rewarded with a fantastic view of Guangzhou city when you get to the top.
